Jennifer Llewellyn, M.S.c. - Ontario Ministry of Agriculture,
Food and Rural Affairs

Jen is the Provincial Nursery and Landscape Specialist with OMAFRA and has been for over 17 years. She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Horticulture from the University of Guelph. Jen has the privilege of working closely with the nursery, landscape and arboriculture sectors to troubleshoot issues with the production and maintenance of woody and herbaceous ornamental plants. She writes for several industry publications and is well known for her column, What’s Bugging Your Trees? in the Ontario Arborist and her blog: ONnurserycrops. Jen also lectures and delivers plant health workshops across the province and she says that she has the best job in the world.
Jeff McMann, NPD, ISA, CHT, TRAQ - Mount Pleasant Group 
Jeff McMann works for the Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries as the Arbor Services Co-ordinator. He is a graduate of the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture and is also an ISA certified arborist. He oversees the trees at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, which hosts one of the finest collection of trees in North America. In addition, he is responsible for the trees located on the other 9 properties of the Mount Pleasant Group. McMann has been in the green industry for over 35 years and having worked extensively in the construction and maintenance sectors has allowed him to expand his experiences in the industry. He has had his award winning gardens and turf work have been featured in magazines, books and newspapers. Jeff has been asked to judge for many programs including the Landscape Ontario Awards of Excellence, Canadian Nursery Landscape Association National Awards and Canada Blooms. He has also had the privilege of being a guest speaker at many venues across Canada. McMann regularly instructs for Landscape Ontario, member of the Landscape Ontario’s Grounds Maintenance Group, and is often asked to consult on tree, turf and maintenance issues. He meets and speaks with the many school groups that frequent the grounds of Mount Pleasant and has the opportunity to impart his knowledge to those with a keen interest in our urban forests.

Rodger Tschanz - University of Guelph
Rodger Tschanz has worked in the field of horticulture at the University of Guelph since graduating in 1989. He is currently a research technician with the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph where here is involved with ornamental breeding projects, teaching plant ID, and liaising with high school horticultural and science students. He has also been the manager of the Guelph Ornamental Trial Garden program since its inception in 2001.  This program has trial sites in Guelph, Milton, Vineland and at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. Between 400 and 500 new annuals and perennials are evaluated each year for their suitability to the southern Ontario gardener. 


Joe Morello - Premier Landscaping and Design Ltd.
Joe Morello is president and owner of Premier Landscaping and Design Ltd. and has been in business since 1990. Premier Landscaping & Design Ltd. has developed a solid presence in the landscape industry in the Greater Toronto area and has formed great relationships with many private and public clients. They have been a member of Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association for over 25 years and Joe served as a member at large on the provincial board and then as President of the Toronto chapter. Premier's experience and knowledge in the landscaping industry have enabled them to offer consistent quality to homeowners, businesses and institutions for many years. They have also teamed-up with his brother Patrick, a landscape architect in practice locally and internationally.

 
Patrick Morello, OALA, CSLA, ASLA, IFLA - LANDinc
As founder and President of LANDinc Patrick has guided the development of the firm from a small Landscape Architecture Practice in 1999 to an integrated multidisciplinary firm today.   He leads in the business development and procurement of the firm’s projects in Canada and throughout North Africa, the Middle East and internationally for both the Private and Public Sectors. Patrick also leads a multi-disciplinary team of urban designers, architects and landscape architects on projects throughout the world. Patrick is a Landscape Architect and Urban Designer with international experience in design visioning, urban planning, landscape ecology, consulting and project directing. He has worked on and led projects in diverse cultural and geographic environments dealing with, public realm, open space and recreation planning, city and community development, institutional and corporate campus planning and resort developments.  In addition to his design and management leadership, Patrick conducts professional visioning and design workshops for communities and professionals in cities and towns throughout Canada and internationally.
