LI014: Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC) Prep Seminar
This seminar is designed to refresh the skills of irrigation contractors,and serves as an excellent review for the Irrigation Association CIC exam, though it is not a substitute for studying the reference material. Review advanced soil-water-plant relationships, advanced hydraulics, pumps, job safety requirements, national codes that affect our industry, scheduling, water conservation and details about system uniformity and efficiency.Note: You will need an engineer's scale ruler, mechanical pencil and calculator for working out mathematical equations and exercises.
Participants must purchase: CIC workbook from https://www.irrigation.org/Education/Education_Resources.aspx at least 60 days before the seminar, and review the material before attending. If you are taking the CIC exam, you must sign up at www.irrigation.org/Certification/Register_for_Exams.aspx at least 30 days before the exam date. If you are a current member of LO you are entitled to price break when signing-up for your IA exam. Recommended prerequisites: seminars LI007, LI015, LI020, LI021, LI012, LI013 or irrigation system installation and maintenance experience.
