As part of our ongoing Low Impact Development (LID) training, the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) is pleased to host a Low Impact Development Construction, Inspection and Maintenance workshop.

When: March 29, 2017

Where: Watershed Conservation Centre, 1424 Clarke Road, London

This workshop will focus on three critical components of building functioning LID practices: construction, inspection and maintenance. Failing to follow proper LID construction methods can result in barren bioretention landscapes, clogged infiltration practices, uneven permeable pavements, and ultimately costly post-construction repairs.

Instructors will take participants through each step of the LID construction highlighting potential errors and explaining proper techniques garnered from lessons learned in the field. Experienced instructors will present valuable lessons learned from examples in Southern Ontario and similar cold climate regions. This workshop will benefit anyone involved in the construction of LID projects including landscapers, contractors and contract administrators, conservation authority and agency staff, municipal inspectors, consulting and construction engineers. This workshop is being presented by staff from Credit Valley Conservation and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.

This workshop will benefit anyone involved in the construction of LID projects including landscapers, contractors and contract administrators, conservation authority and agency staff, municipal inspectors, consulting and construction engineers.
