EN002: Going 'Greener' in the Landscape Industry
Seminar Cancelled
Just how can we make our green industry greener? Aren't we there already? The real answer is maybe. The Cosmetic Pesticide Ban has come into effect, municipal restrictions on water use have increased, and Landscape Ontario is asking members to go Green for Life. Just what are you to do in your day-to-day operations? This seminar addresses issues topic by topic, and encourages members to share stories in an open forum. Participants will learn the definitions of organic gardening and organic products, sustainable landscape gardening practices, how to encourage clients to buy-in to near perfection, the importance of biodiversity, the controversy surrounding native plants, the importance of appropriate plant selection and more. Participants will get a better understanding of the changing face of the horticulture industry and how to modify your operations to take advantage of Green for Life marketing.
