JOHN HIGO - TURFCARE PRODUCTS CANADA
John Higo is a founding member of the Lighting Sector Group. He spent five years as Sector Chair and five years as Sector Board Rep. He is a member of the International Dark Skies Association and 10-year member of Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. John is a contributing author to IES RP-39 Recommended Practices for Landscape Lighting. He has taught college level courses in Landscape Lighting and
is a Sector Group Liaison for the Electrical Safety Authority. John is also
a member of the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals.
CARL HASTINGS - MOONSTRUCK LIGHTING LTD.
Carl has been involved in the Horticulture industry for 32 years. He started in Maintenance, worked in landscape construction, and has been involved in lighting for over 20 years. He began his career in lighting by digging trenches. Then move up to installing systems, servicing systems, designing lighting systems, selling lighting and then became partner in Moonstruck Lighting Ltd. He loves lighting and the way the industry is changing.
JERRY MCKAY, MCKAY LIGHTING
Jerry McKay is the founder and host of The Lighting Summit, an annual business growth and development event with content focused for landscape lighting professionals. Jerry is also owner of McKay Landscape Lighting, a regional dedicated landscape lighting firm based in Omaha, Nebraska. McKay Landscape Lighting provides professional outdoor lighting, design, installation, and maintenance services for residential and commercial properties across the nation. Jerry has a Bachelor's degree from Seattle University and enjoys sharing what he has learned over the 25 years, helping other landscape lighting professionals succeed though The Lighting Summit or one-on-one consulting.
JEFF SMITH - SITEONE LANDSCAPE SUPPLY
Jeff works for SiteOne Landscape supply in Concord, He started in irrigation distribution in 1991 and spent his first 11years behind the counter and the next 9 years as a service technician for golf course irrigation and central control systems. Before returning to distribution, Jeff spent 4 years working with a contractor in the commercial irrigation and central control market in the GTA retrofitting, servicing and maintaining existing irrigation systems, During his years in distribution he has seen many issues and assisted clients with the diagnosis and repair of malfunctioning systems in both lighting and irrigation.
