Human resources
It is the responsibility of Landscape Ontario's Education and Labour Development Department to implement the Landscape Ontario Strategic Plan to develop a safe, skilled and competent labour force for the horticulture industry.
The HR department works closely with:
• Horticulture Ontario Secondary Teachers Association (HOSTA)
• Ontario Horticultural Educators Council (OHEC)
• Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)
• Ministry of Labour ( MOL)
• Ontario Regional Common Ground Alliance ( ORCGA)
• Workplace Safety Prevention Services (WSPS)
Some of the many programs include
• Certified Horticultural Technician (CHT)
• Certified Landscape Technician ( CLT)
• Certified Landscape Manager (CLP)
• Certified Landscape Designer (CLD)
