September 8th
Waterloo Chapter meeting
Knights of Columbus Hall, 145 Dearborn Place, Waterloo
Landscape Ontario's Waterloo Chapter welcomes Mark Bradley, president of The Beach Gardener and the Landscape Management Network, who will speak to members at the monthly meeting. Doors open at 6:15, and the meeting begins at 7 p.m. Bradley will discuss the key principles he has used to grow his company. It's a great opportunity for any landscape contractor to hear, direct from what is currently being used to propel The Beach Gardener to elite growth and profitability. There is also food available and a 50/50 draw. Meeting sponsors are Gro-Bark (Ontario) and LandSource Organix. For more information, contact Linda Tester.

October 6th
Waterloo tour
Hanson Hardscapes,1081 Rife Road, Cambridge
Join the Waterloo Chapter at 5:30 p.m. for a facility tour at Hanson Hardscapes. Safety boots are required. The tour will be followed with a barbecue dinner and presentations from ICPI Ontario Chapter, CNLA and Hansons. November 8th - November 9th
Chainsaw training
Allgreen Tree Service, 155 Union St., Elimira
The Ministry of Labour requires that all landscapers who use chainsaws on the job are trained on their safe operation. This two-day seminar helps satisfy these requirements. The second day will be spent in the field working on techniques and safe operation while cutting trees. Both seminars begin each day at 8:30 a.m., and go until 4 p.m. For more details and to register see chainsaw safety.

November 19th
Waterloo Fall Freeze-up
Waterloo Inn, 475 King Street North, Waterloo
This year's Fall Freeze-up has an all-new location - Waterloo Inn - and menu. The annual Freeze-up is one of the most popular Waterloo Chapter events of the year. Tickets are $120 per couple. Call Cheryl at 519-746-2288, or email Cheryl@tsbenefits.net to order tickets. By ordering tickets early, you will be entered in a draw for a complimentary night's stay at the Waterloo Inn, the night of Fall Freeze-up. The draw will take place Nov. 3 during the general meeting.
