London Gardens of Distinction Tour
London
The first annual Gardens of Distinction Tour is scheduled for July 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The garden tour will consist of 12-plus gardens that chapter members have created, installed and/or maintained for their clients. Members will be on-site to talk to attendees and promote their business, professionalism and expertise. Nursery growers on summer tour
Southwest Ontario
The 2009 Landscape Ontario’s Growers Summer Tour will take place on Tues., July 14, visiting nurseries, garden centres and a fertilizer facility in southwestern Ontario. A bus will pick-up participants at three locations: Milton, Woodstock and London. The cost is $55 per person, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Registration deadline is July 9. SIMA announces salt supply webinar
The Snow and Ice Management Association will hold an online web seminar, entitled Creating Stronger Relationships with Bulk Salt Suppliers on Wed., July 15, starting at 3:00 p.m. The session will feature speakers Mike Betts and Todd Martin, of With a Grain of Salt of Leo, Ind., and will focus on managing salt as a snow and ice management professional. Seminar on guaranteed growth

Congress 2010
Congress is Canada’s largest horticultural lawn and garden trade show. The exposition covers more than seven acres of exhibits featuring all of the equipment, hard and soft goods required for the construction and maintenance of commercial, public and residential landscapes. A four-day educational conference is held in conjunction with the show, and the Green Forum, which premiered last year, returns with its focus on important green initiatives. The Canadian Fence Industry Association (CFIA) is hosting Fencecraft at Congress once again. More information is available at locongress.com.

Growers' Short Course

The LO Growers Group annual Short Course agenda includes a featured speaker, as well as industry researchers and growers who will present the results of their LO-funded research and government updates.
